The route to get to us is starting from the city of Aiud. From Aiud you will take a turn and drive straight ahead for 27 km until you reach Brădești. There you park your car and start your hike downhill, 1,5 hours by foot on the national hiking route:  See part 2.

-By train or bus

The nearest train station and bus terminal is in Aiud, with good connections from major cities. From there, we can provide transfer to the village of Cheia upon request (170 lei for 1–2 people). The journey takes about one hour, following a route that combines paved road and forest track. Large luggage is not a problem. You’ll arrive comfortably, right in the heart of nature – directly at our location.

Part 2: Getting to cheia (the hike)

Once in Brădești, you will start your adventure by foot down Cheia valley. The beautiful hike is around 5 km long and takes 1 – 1,5 hours. Here is a map for reference, you can save this map in your phone or open it through the link below.

important notes:

  • During the hike, please use the designated footbridges to cross the stream. There are multiple crossings, and safety is a priority.
  • Do not start the trail at night. Navigation becomes difficult, the risk of getting lost is high, and encounters with wild animals are more likely.
  • Upon request, we can provide transfer of luggage or guests from Brădești to Cheia, using a 4×4 off-road vehicle, via a forest road. The transfer is done directly to our location. (100 lei / trip). Please contact us in advance.

and NOW: enjoy your trip! 🙂
