We are located in the Apuseni mountains, which form part of the Western Carpathian mountains, in Romania. The general area is called Transylvania or Siebenbürgen.
The closest cities are Aiud and Teiuș, both around 30 kilometers away. The closest airports are Cluj-Napoca and Sibiu.
We are living right next to the “Râmeț Gorges” (Cheile Râmețului) that attract thousands of tourists each year, who cross through the water in the summer months.
If you come by car, you will park it in the next village, Bradești.

Please note: These directions are meant for visitors who come with backpacks to stay overnight. If you want to hike through the Râmeț Gorges or along the Goat’s Path, please drive via Teius to Valea Mănăstirii and park at the designated parking spot.
The route to get to us is starting from the city of Aiud. From Aiud you will take a turn and drive straight ahead for 27 km until you reach Brădești. There you park your car and start your hike downhill, 1,5 hours by foot on the national hiking route: See part 2.
The nearest train station and bus terminal is in Aiud, with good connections from major cities. From there, we can provide transfer to the village of Cheia upon request (170 lei for 1–2 people). The journey takes about one hour, following a route that combines paved road and forest track. Large luggage is not a problem. You’ll arrive comfortably, right in the heart of nature – directly at our location.

Once in Brădești, you will start your adventure by foot down Cheia valley. The beautiful hike is around 5 km long and takes 1 – 1,5 hours. Here is a map for reference, you can save this map in your phone or open it through the link below.
